Your ability to remember is important in any kind of work you do. If you have powerful memory, you can acquire tremendous success in your studies too. Those who have poor memory, however intelligent they may be, cannot reach to the desired height of their success. An experience leaves physiological change in the brain structure, which is called a “memory-trace”. The memory traces decrease with the passage of time. We remember an experience (i.e, a sense of sight, a scene of sound etc,) until its memory-trace remains in our brain; when it is erased, we forget. Obviously, to remember for a longer time, memory-trace should be trained in the mind.
Here are some methods to improve memory:
1. Revise what you learn as soon as possible:
In order to delay theprocess of forgetting, what you learn should be revised mentally soon after you have learned it. For instance, after learning a topic from your textbook, you can revise it by doing on exercise based on it.
2. Be interested in what you are trying to learn:
You can remember the moments of a picnic or an educational tour for years but sometimes you fail to remember what your teacher taught you on the previous day. Why is this? The answer is clear; it is because of the interest. Therefore, if you cultivate the interest on the topic that you are going to learn, you can remember it for long time.
3. Observe closely and accurately:
Memory is largely a matter of attention and conversation. If you observe something clearly and closely, it impresses the mind most deeply, and you gain a lasting memory.
4. make sure you understand things properly:
The degree of understanding also affects the memory.
5. Use your convenient way of learning:
When you want to learn a page of a note. There are two Methods of learning. One is to read it repeatedly until you know it. The other is to break it into parts and learn each of parts separately. Similarly, some people can remember better by making mental pictures of what they learn. Others remember better by listening to the spoken words. Follow the method that suits you better.
6. Revise repeatedly:
Memory traces become permanent if the some experience is repaired a repeatedly. Initially, the revision should be done after shorter intervals and later it can be done after relatively longer periods. To remember many things in short time, constant revision technique should be followed.
7. Have confidence in your ability:
Do not doubt your ability a work. Put aside the experience of humiliation. Always try to remember your past success.
The Office of the Controller of Examinations of Tribhuwan University on Tuesday published the results of Proficiency Certificate Level (second year), a press statement stated. The results of the academic programmes have come within the given deadline. The examinations were conducted about three months ago.
His daughter is coming today. His countenance is illuminated with a bright beam of happiness, much an unsuccessful attempt of concealment. His daughter was a mystery for everyone. Nobody knew before that him a daughter. A drunkard roaming in his own imagination, a deserted lonely man also did have a family once. A happy family was turned into a misery after his wife’s death. The infant daughter left by his side became a burden for the isolated man. He ditched her off into an orphanage. The abandoned child was adopted by German couple. When she grew up, she came to know about her father from her foster parents.
His daughter is coming today from Germany. Today he is not a burdened father. His eyes are longing to see her. Those unclear babbling, innocent eyes, an enchanting smile, little hands are vivid in his eyes. He is desperate waiting to see his daughter, to listen her voice. He is going to have a rendezvous with his abandoned daughter today.
Finally the awaited moment came. His daughter arrived. Both had something to confess, something to complain and infinite feelings to share. But his guilty heart made him speechless. His daughter said “ich liebe du vater. He couldn’t understand her neither could know Deutsch. What a pity! What a sorrowful moment! All those feelings, confessions, and complaints remained unexpressed. They dialogued through their eyes in the language of tears.
“I want to be a successful person in life.” Is not it what we all are dreaming of? Being a success! We wish to be successful in studies, in relationships, in jobs, and in everything we do. But, what a challenge is this! Many people complain about their bad luck; and say that they are not born to be successful. In reality, successful people are just the ordinary people who have discovered the universal rules of power. They are highly effective people who can succeed where others fail. They are the people who can pass through the roadblock while others remain stranded and stalled.
To achieve success, you just need to have faith in yourself- the faith that will lead you get success you desire, and the faith that you need to reach to the top. If you don’t believe in yourself, who else on earth will do? Whether they are businessmen or women, singers or players, the most successful people in the world have it in common. They succeed one easy way- by having faith in themselves. Repeat statements to yourself like, “ I can achieve any success that I want.” By contrast, avoid negative ideas.
Motivation and guidance play crucial role in shaping successful careers. Teacher and mentors teach you to be disciplined; they encourage you to lead a fulfilling and productive life. Smart people use their teachers’ guidance and suggestion to lead themselves to the top. Hence, motivation will almost always help you to beat mere talents.
Setting a goal of priority and passion can help you to achieve success. Create the grandest and the highest visions in your life because you become what you believe in. setting a clear, specific and inspiring goal can be a great motivational factor. Break the goal into small steps to proceed systematically. Research your goal to reduce negative results.
As you initiative taking cautions stepwise, making the right decision at the right time is what counts. Gather knowledge, make pros and cons, think logically and creatively and also be willing to take advice. Perseverance is the key to success. After making several efforts in inventing electric light bulb, Edison said, “I haven’t failed. I’ve discovered 10 thousands different ways that don’t show consistency in their effort which is a must. Many don’t know how close they were to get success when they gave up. To, maintain optimism and keep a diary of every day’s good experience. Try to learn from your mistakes. Being successful requires great courage and commitment. You might be entangled with your fears: fear of failure, or fear of financial loss.

The most of the old women, who are at their sixties, are illiterate to our country Nepal. Viewing this fact, we can conclude that female-education was widely ignored by the patriarchal structure of Nepali society. However, at present, there are some positive rays of hope. Now there is a significant increase in the number of literate women. It is popularly held belief that the education for women is very essential factor in developing the nation, because slightly more than the half of our nation’s population is female. With this factor in mind, we should equally emphasize the education for the women. Only by fulfilling this precondition, both male and female can participate equally in developing the nation.
The education for women is not only important for nation building, but it is also necessary for the everyday practical purposes. This is because, female are more responsible for rearing, caring, and teaching her child. Unless and until she possesses some sort of education herself, a mother cannot teach good values, culture, and education to her child. Although human growth and development and heredity, a mother’s role remains more important in shaping the behavior of a child. It is said that today’s children are the backbones of tomorrow’s nation. In fulfilling this purpose, the better women are educated, the better education they can give to their children.
Despite the clear and wider benefits of women’s education, girls do not have sufficient facility, choice, and encouragement to go to school in our society. This is because many traditional parents think that household work is the woman’s domain, and to fulfill such duties, they do not need any expertise with better education. Such people with the traditional outlook also think that expending time and money on female education is a waste. Now, it is utmost necessary that such traditional attitudes should be changed, and there must be an emphasis on the education of girls to empower them, thereby fulfilling national and practical benefits of education
