With the maxim “Quest for knowledge with wisdom”, the pursuit of excellence has been the hallmark of CCRC. Since its inception, CCRC has endeavored to assemble promising students and distinguished faculty in the community designed to stimulate, even inspire, its members to achieve their academic goal to their fullest. Without having to look back then, CCRC has been enjoying its long preserved tradition of excellence. Programs: 10 +2 (Science, Management and Humanities): CCRC’s 10 + 2 program is affiliated to Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB). This program is worldwide equivalent to 12 years high school and intermediate level studies. The major strength of our +2 program is students centered faculty. Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS): CCRC has its history that it has long added up another feather in the cap with the inclusion of Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) program BBS has become more prominent than ever to produce professionals to fulfill such global commitments in the years ahead LEARNING AND TEACHING METHODOLOGIES CCRC has modern teaching and learning methodology with the use of state-of-art equipment, qualified and experienced faculty members. The approach is amalgamation of learning to maximize students’ potentiality. This ensures that the students are taught clearly and effectively. The achievements are therefore reflected not only in the course of assessments and examinations, but also in their performance in future careers. Some of the methods of instructions include the following. Lectures and Tutorials: The series of lectures and tutorials is the regular process through which the students can comfortably cover up the whole course of every prescribed subject in time. Appreciative Inquiry Approach to Make the Students Emerge as Positive Thinkers: The CCRC is the first college in Nepal to introduce Appreciative Inquiry (AI) approach in its learning and teaching process. AI approach helps students think positively, act positively, and behave positively. It always puts emphasis on one’s strength, success, achievements, possibilities, and hopes. This approach has been very helpful in learning process. Students receive theoretical knowledge all through the year and their learning is enhanced with this AI approach. Our goal to gain such a height has been possible with the significant contribution of AI Approach. Prof. Dr. David Cooperrider, the Founding Father of AI philosophy, provides substantial support to practice AI inside CCRC. Many interns and volunteers from USA and other countries join CCRC to study AI in the education and management system of CCRC. Participatory Approaches: The students are encouraged to actively participate in group discussions, group works and presentations in order to remove their hesitations, inhibitions and shyness and to encourage their capacity to explore strengths, come forward with solutions and articulate statements. Research: One of the objectives of CCRC is to carry out multidisciplinary and result oriented research encompassing science and technology, educational development, socioeconomy, environment, infrastructure, sustainable resource management, human resources and other development issues. CCRC students get involved in appropriate workshops/ seminars whereby they are provided research methodology classes so that it helps them ultimately build up professional careers upon graduation further down the road.
