Introduction

Global College of Management (GCM) is an English medium co-educational institution. The College has been running +2 (Management), and Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) programs. It is affiliated to both Higher Secondary Education Board and Tribhuvan University.

The primary aim of the College is to prepare higher, middle and junior level human resources to meet the needs of business, industry and government in different functional areas of management. GCM’s programs aim to facilitate the students to work as proficient managers in most competitive business environment. The students will be able to work as managers in business, industry, government and non-government sectors, in areas like accounting, marketing, finance, general management, hotel management, and travel and tourism.

The College is located at Mid-Baneshwor, Kathmandu. Both +2 and BBS programs are running in the morning and day shifts.

Professional Educators Limited (Pro-Ed Ltd.) is a publicly incorporated company founded by a group of scholars and entrepreneurs. It plans to involve a large number of professionals in its mission to ensure good education for the young generation. Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Prem Raj Pant and the leadership of Prof. Dr. Pushkar Bajracharya and other outstanding professors, Pro-Ed Ltd. is all set to produce talented and hardworking business graduates who will make the nation proud in the over all trade and commerce management sector.

Academic Programs

10+2 Program: The 10+2 program is affiliated to the Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB) of Nepal. GCM has been running this program since 1992. The College offers a wide range of subject combinations in management at an affordable fee structure. To meet its mission and goals, the college is well-equipped with all sorts of infrastructures which make it stand differently in the market. Since majority faculties are the core stake holders of PRO-ED and are thus dedicated to achieve the mission and goals which ultimately benefit the students.

BBS Program: BBS at GCM stands as a special academic program for certain reasons like availing the best available academic faculties, corporate networking for practical training, a very conducive academic environment for concentrated studies and caring guidance. These are such noteworthy features that surely pave the way towards academic excellence in any student’s career.

GCM takes care of its students in preparing them academically very strong to meet the rigorous and demanding market challenges. To meet this arduous task the college has been providing all the necessary tools to both faculties and students in different ways such as periodical seminars on burning trade and commerce related issues and frequent market analysis to keep abreast all the fast changing scenario. By nature BBS is a multidisciplinary and result oriented management studies, it runs small scale short term research activities at this level and thus allows active participatory approach in understanding business and management issues at home and abroad. These efforts are all geared to produce competent human resources as per market need. 

The Bachelor in Business Studies (BBS) program at GCM is affiliated to Tribhuvan University. The College has been very successfully conducting the BBS program since 1998.

It is a matter of great pleasure that Mr. Amit Rayamajhi of this College achieved the first position in the nation-wide BBS exam of T.U. in the year 2004. Amit’s success is indeed a measure of the quality of management education we offer at GCM.

MBS Program: MBS, affiliated to Tribhuvan University, at GCM has become a special academic activity. The very first year intake of students has become a hundred percent success with its 30 students enrollment. Last year’s BBS topper coming into this program signals the trust for GCM’s commitment to be a center for management studies of theirs. The faculty members of this program are well known in the academics.  Prof. Dr. Prem Raj Pant heads the program  with an excellent team of academicians having some considerable reputation in their respective fields of teaching and research.

Facilities:

Library

GCM provides an up-dated rich library facility to facilitate the process of teaching and learning. It has a good collection of books, periodicals, videos and CD-ROMs and a growing collection of audio-visual materials beside access to E-library.

Computer Lab

GCM Computer Lab is technically well-equipped with all sorts of modern means of communication.

Cafeteria

GCM cafeteria offers good meals and snacks at subsidized rates. It serves hygienic foods to the College students and staff.

Transportation

Global College runs a number of buses for easy transportation of students in and around ring road at a very reasonable charge.
