Introduction
K and K is the first letter of two colleges, which have made their distinct names in two different educational sectors. KCBMHS (Kantipur College of Business Management & Humanities Studies) and KWA H.S.S (Knowledge & Wisdom Academy Higher Secondary School).
K and K College was established in the year 2004 A.D. Apart from many other names, K and K was chosen to give both the institution their individual character. Within a span of just three years K and K College has made a distinct name in the field of education. The success of K and K College lies in its strong, diverse and qualified faculty, its students and its very energetic management team. KCBMHS (Kantipur College of Business Management & Humanities Studies) was established in 1998 by renowned academicians with a mission to create quality Nepalese working professionals in the field of management. KCBMHS has been quite successful in its mission. The College boasts of its quality graduates with most of them finding a place in prestigious Universities abroad with substantial scholarships to help them complete their chosen field of study. Some of KCBMHS graduates have found good jobs in the country’s big corporate houses. KCBMHS presently offers BBA, BBS, BA and MA (Rural Development) in affiliation with Tribhuvan University. KWA H.S.S. (Knowledge and Wisdom Academy Higher Secondary School) was established in 2001by a group of academicians and professionals to cater for the growing demand of parents and students in the Higher Secondary level by providing quality education and guaranteeing top class graduates. K and K, an outcome of these two merged institutions, will now work to fulfill the mission and objective of both these established educational institutions as a single entity. K and K have devised a unique study program just to meet this specific objective.
Academic Programs:
HS (+2) Program objective
The Higher Secondary is an extension of the SLC. The HS course will prepare students for the University Level of Study. Students in HS will have to make a clear decision while choosing the subjects at this level. These subjects should assist them in their further studies and in their choice of career eventually. The choice of subjects should interest the students and should not burden them. Students are advised to consult their parents, guardians, friends and teachers while making such decisions.
Admission Requirements
Students applying for admissions into the Higher Secondary (10+2) must have successfully completed SLC or equivalent level of study from any reputed institution.
Teaching Methodology
The general teaching methodology will mostly include class lectures. Practical exercises and laboratory work will be conducted as per the requirement of the syllabus. Lecturers can also conduct group discussions, case studies and project work if found necessary.
Class Hours
The Classes for HS will run from 6:30 am to 11:00am (Morning Shift) and from 11 am to 4 pm (Day Shift), Sunday to Friday.
Examination & Assessments
The final examination for Class 11 & 12 will be conducted by the HSEB board. The examination will be held in the months of Bhaishak and Jestha.
BBA
(BACHELOR IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION)
The BBA is a four year Bachelor Degree program in management. The BBA program is divided into 8 semesters covering 120 credit hours. Students get to choose their specialization in the 7 th and 8th semester. Specializations are offered in Banking and Finance, Management Information System, Travel and Tourism Management and Industrial Management.
The BBA Program is specially designed to help students to take up middle level managerial positions right after their graduation. For this reason students are required to do various project work, assignments and presentations throughout the course and an internship in their 8th semester carrying 6 credit hours.
The mission of Tribhuvan University Faculty of Management (FOM) in Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) program is to develop a socially responsive, creative and result oriented management professionals to fill up the middle level managerial positions in the rapidly growing business sector in Nepal and abroad.
The specific objectives of BBA program are to:
- Prepare students to take up middle level managerial positions in the business sector.
- Develop students’ skill in object-oriented business management making them capable of understanding and solving practical business problems creatively.
- Provide professional management education with a blend of computer and management information courses.
- Prepare students to proceed onto postgraduate level of study in business administration.

Eligibility for Admissions
Successfully completed a twelve-year schooling or its equivalent from any university or institution recognized by Tribhuvan University. Secured at least a second division in the 10+2, PCL or equivalent program. Compiled with all application procedures.
Admission Criteria
Written Test
Applicants are required to appear in the entrance test conducted by the Faculty of Management. Students must secure a minimum of 40% in the entrance test in order to qualify for interview. The test will follow the standard testing patterns and may include areas like verbal ability, quantitative ability, logical reasoning and general awareness.
Interview
Only short- listed candidates from the written test will be interviewed and selected for admission.
Teaching Methodology
The general teaching methodology will include class lectures, group discussions, case studies, practical exercises, laboratory work, project work, term papers and internship.
Class Hours
The Classes for BBA will run from 10:45 am to 4:15 pm, Sunday to Friday.
Examination, Evaluation & Grading System
The BBA program will be executed through the semester system. The regular program shall be completed in eight semesters. The internal (ongoing) evaluation and the external (end of semesters) examination shall carry 40% and 60% weightage respectively. The 60% of external assessment will be theory only except for the Computer & IT related subjects where this 60% will be divided further into 40% theory and 20% practical. The semester examinations shall be conducted by FOM. The final grade shall be determined on the overall performance in the internal and external examinations.
Passing Grade and Grading System
Students must secure a minimum of grade ‘C’ or Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 in the internal evaluation in order to qualify to appear in the semester examination. In order to pass the semester examination the student must secure a minimum of Grade ‘C’ or the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.0. Students who secure a Semester Grade of ‘D” will not be promoted to the next semester.
BBS (Bachelor in busines studies ):
The BBS is a three-year Bachelor Degree program in Business. Students need to study 14 papers in total, each carrying 100 marks. Apart from core subjects in the first and second year, students can choose from five specialization areas in their third year. Those speciaalizations being in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Management and Management Science.
BA (Bachelor of Arts)
The BA is a 3 years Bachelor Degree program in arts. Students study 14 papers during this 3 year program with each paper carrying 100 marks. Students study 4 papers in the 1st year, 5 papers in the 2nd year and 5 papers in the 3rd year. Apart from compulsory subjects i.e. English and Nepali, students can take up two majors from a wide range of subjects offered by the university.
MA (Rural Development)
The MA in Rural Development is a two year Master Degree Program in Arts. There are 10 papers to be covered in this two year program. The MA in Rural Development aims to develop rural development cadres capable to meet the demand for higher level rural developers in government and non-government sectors.
