An international avian influenza(A/) communication project is seeking a seasoned professional in behavior change and communication for infectious diseases to join our  project as a full-time staff member to provide technical assistance and training for A/ prevention, containment, and emergency response communication strategies and activities in Nepal, and to offer limited assistance to our projects in Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Individuals should have at least 10 years of experience in designing behavior change and communication activities in south Asia and will have lived and worked in Nepal, and preferably in another country of south Asia, This includes experience working with governments and donor organizations and at the community and national level.

Activities will include program management and oversight, needs assessments, strategic planning and program design, project management advocacy and media orientations, training and capacity building, materials development, social mobilization, monitoring and evaluation, and result documentation. Work will primarily be in Nepal but may require some work in south Asia (Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, and Bangladesh). An advanced degree in public health and /or animal health communication is preferred. Individuals must be fluent in written and spoken English and Nepali.
