Position: Programme Team Leader

Work Purpose: To provide overall leadership to development initiatives in the WVIN’s working areas. This involves liaising with local authorities to ensure suitable working environment in the communities.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Bachelors’ degree in development/management field or equivalent degree from a recognized University, Master degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience working in development fields/running projects.
  • Proven financial, managerial and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively and sensitively in Nepalese cultural context
  • Should posses leadership quality and skills to build effective working relationships with a broad range of people and ability to lead a team of staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Willingness and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Computer literate in Microsoft and Excel

It seeks to: promote an interest in birds among the general public, encourage research on bird biology and ecology; identify the major threats to birds and act to conserve birds and biodiversity in their natural habitats. BCN requires a dedicated and career oriented professional to lead the organization.

Executive Officer- Kathmandu-Based position

Position and Responsibilities: EO is a senior most position in the organization and will provide leadership in the efficient and effective functioning of the organization and fulfillment of its mandate.

In particular, the incumbent will be responsible for overall administrative and financial control of the organization, project administration, management, monitoring, reporting, human resource management.

Criteria: Minimum qualification is Masters Level in Business or management studies or in related subjects. Experience in the related field for over three years in I/NGOS. Ability to use own creativity and work independently, good interpersonal skills and respect for diversity.

Salary and benefits: 45000 Rs. Per month (negotiable) and other benefits.

  1. Business Development officers(BDO)

The role: play a key role in generation, development and realization of business opportunities in the Retail Banking unity by strategizing and building customer relationship and networks.

Job Specifications:

  1. At least a Bachelor degree in business administration or a related field.
  2. Preferably one year(1) of banking experience
  3.  Skills/Abilities:

Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing and negotiation skills
Self starter/ ability to work independently and in a result oriented environment
Able to turn prospective leads into business for the Bank.

3. Management Trainees and Assistant/Relationship Managers

Fresh graduates and/ or individuals with banking experience are encouraged to apply for the role of management Trainee or Assistant/Relationship Manager for our corporate Banking units at Kathmandu, Birgunj, Pokhara, and upcoming Branch at Bhairawa and in other new branches in and outside the valley.

 The Role:

  1. Solicit, grow and retain profitable long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  2. Understand the client’s business comprehensively and sell/cross-sell Bank’s products and services commensurate with their needs.
  3. Combine client relationship management with strong with strong risk assessment and management capabilities ensuring the required credit quality and returns on risk.

Job specifications:

  1. Equivalent to an appropriate graduated degree in the field of Finance/Marketing or Business Administration.
  2. At least two(2) years of credit experience will be preferred
  3. Skills/Abilities:

Sound credit assessment skills
Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Strong sales, decision-making and analytical skills
Ability to work to deadlines and a strong team focus

  1. Branch Managers:

Positions are available in our branches at Biratnagar, upcoming branch at Bhairawa and in other new branches in and outside the valley. Application from result-oriented individuals with corporate/Retail Banking experience of at least Two (2) years, with a strong desire to excel and serious intention to develop a career in Banking is solicited.

 The Role:

  1. Manage and develop overall activities of the Branch.
  2. Responsible for growing revenue by soliciting and maintaining profitable banking relationship with clients
  3. oversee the promotion of banks products and services
  4. Act as a consultant to clients and a resource to the Bank in developing in retaining business
  5. Responsible for grooming, motivating and appraising supervised jobs.
